Had an excellent experience over 24/48 hours as we sold my BMW X3. Felt like a collaboration and a very transparent and efficient process. Many thanks
This is a different kind of review and is specifically for Phil Corker. In short, the man is a gent and scholar! I applied to WBS to get a price for my W205 C63s Edition 1 that I needed to sell – at least, what I thought was an Edition 1 – and Phil promptly got back to me to advise that my car was in fact an Edition 1 'lookalike', and worse still, was actually a Cat D salvage in its early life!
At the time of repair, it had obviously then been turned into an Edition 1.
You can imagine my utter shock, bemusement and anger at receiving this bombshell. Phil forwarded me all of the online checks, including photos of the car at the time of salvage (you could clearly see it had no Edition 1 exterior or interior features at that point).
For some reason, the Cat D alert did not (and still doesn't) come up on a regular HPI check, but does flash up on other checking systems.
Phil was very understanding and calmly offered me advice as to how best approach the situation and how it was more than likely the dealer who sold me the car were probably guilty of not performing enough due diligence (ie. going off of the HPI check and not digging any deeper), rather than knowingly selling me a Cat classified car.
I duly informed the dealer who sold me the car in 2021 and they've agreed to take it back (we're still negotiating a final refund price…). They have admitted full liability.
Moreover, as of today Phil has also agreed to run a check on the new car I want to purchase once I hand back the C63s as a goodwill gesture.
So even though I haven't had any financial dealings with WBS, I have been mega impressed with Phil and how he's handled the whole affair! 🙂
Thanks Phil!
Sold my Porsche Taycan. Very professional, efficient and easy to deal with. Highly recommend. 👍🏼
I wholeheartedly recommend WeBuySupercars to anyone considering selling their vehicle. While a smaller business, their process, service, and especially their pricing are exceptional. My initial phone call with Phil lasted about five minutes, followed by submitting my car's details and photos. Their offer was among the highest I received from automated pricing services, and crucially, they paid the agreed-upon price without any deductions. I will certainly recommend Phil and his team to my family and friends. Their service was truly five-star from start to finish.
Was thinking of selling my car and not looking to trade 'up'. Stumbled on WeBuySupercars and made contact. They were very quick to respond, easy to deal with, and offered what I thought was a fair price. The transaction was completed very smoothly when the car was collected with no quibbles or attempts to adjust the price. Very happy and very comfortable in recommending them.
Great service through and through, delivered what was promised and will be recommending to friends looking to sell their car 🙂
Very happy with a fantastic service. Easy to deal with, prompt, professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend to anyone wanting to sell their car with a minimum of fuss and for a great price.
Very good communication, prompt payment and clear messages. They kept to what they offered and beet the bigger competition hands down. I would use them again. Sold my Q7 vorsprung to them
I wanted to sell my car, tried the normal adverts and due to the rarity of the car it proved impossible.
Looked at motorway etc and decided to try Webuysupercars purely because of the positive reviews.
Phil was realistic about pricing and the car was sold in a day. Phil explained prices and expectations to me and we came to a deal that suited me.
Funds in my bank at time of collection and car was sold on Thursday and collected Monday.
If you are honest with condition then the price agreed is paid, other companies are sure to offer a price then chip you down at collection. Phil was great and I was happy with the whole process.
WebuySupercars were absolutely amazing in finding a buyer for my car. From start to finish everything was done very professionally, always keeping me informed and i really felt at ease throughout the whole process. Many thanks again to Phill and the team, Regards Graham

The Legacy of Alfa Romeo – A History of Performance & Prestige
Founded in 1910 in Milan, Italy, Alfa Romeo has long been a symbol of passion, performance, and Italian engineering excellence. The company began as “Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili” (ALFA) before being acquired by entrepreneur Nicola Romeo in 1915, leading to the now-iconic Alfa Romeo name.
Motorsport Heritage & Racing Success
Alfa Romeo has played a defining role in motorsport history, securing early victories in Grand Prix racing, endurance events, and touring car championships. In 1950 and 1951, Alfa Romeo won the first two Formula 1 World Championships, with legendary drivers Giuseppe Farina and Juan Manuel Fangio piloting the dominant Alfa Romeo 158 and 159 Alfetta race cars. These victories cemented Alfa Romeo’s reputation as a powerhouse in motorsport.
Beyond Formula 1, Alfa Romeo achieved notable success in events such as:
- Mille Miglia (1928, 1930, 1932-1938) – Multiple wins in the prestigious Italian endurance race.
- Le Mans 24 Hours – Competitive showings with the Alfa Romeo 8C 2300, securing four consecutive wins from 1931 to 1934.
- European Touring Car Championship (ETCC) – Dominance in the 1960s and 1970s with the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA.
- DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft) – Victorious in 1993 with the Alfa Romeo 155 V6 Ti, driven by Nicola Larini.
Iconic Alfa Romeo Models
Alfa Romeo has built some of the most sought-after and recognisable performance cars in automotive history. Some of the most iconic models include:
- Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 (1930s) – A pre-war racing and road car masterpiece.
- Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint (1954-1965) – A stylish, lightweight coupe that set the stage for Alfa’s modern GT lineage.
- Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA (1965-1971) – A race-bred coupe that dominated touring car championships.
- Alfa Romeo Montreal (1970-1977) – A unique, high-performance grand tourer powered by a V8 engine.
- Alfa Romeo 75 (1985-1992) – The last rear-wheel-drive Alfa before modern platforms.
- Alfa Romeo 156 & 147 GTA (1997-2005) – High-performance saloons and hatchbacks that revived Alfa’s sporting spirit.
- Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione (2007-2010) – A stunning, limited-production supercar inspired by Alfa’s racing history.
The Modern Era of Alfa Romeo
Alfa Romeo has a rich history filled with iconic models that have made a significant mark on the automotive landscape. Here are some of the most notable Alfa Romeos:
Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio
Launched in 2015, the Giulia Quadrifoglio represents a powerful comeback for Alfa Romeo. It features a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that produces 503 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque, establishing it as a strong competitor against sports sedans like the BMW M3.
Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale
Manufactured from 1967 to 1969, the mid-engine 33 Stradale is celebrated for its exquisite design and is often considered one of the most beautiful cars ever created. Only 18 units of this street-legal version of the Tipo 33 race car were produced, making it extremely rare.
Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA
Introduced in 1965, the Giulia Sprint GTA was a performance-focused variant of the Giulia Sprint GT. The ‘A’ stands for ‘Alleggerita,’ which translates to ‘lightened’ in Italian. This model boasted aluminum body panels, Plexiglas windows, and an interior designed for weight reduction, bringing its total weight down to just 745 kg.
Alfa Romeo Spider
Unveiled at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show, the Pininfarina-designed Spider 1600 was Battista Pininfarina’s final project before his death later that year. This front-engine, rear-wheel-drive roadster became a classic, with nearly 9,000 units sold.
Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione
Released in 2007, the 8C Competizione honours Alfa Romeo’s racing legacy through its design and pedigree. Equipped with a 4.7-liter V8 engine, it merges contemporary performance with timeless aesthetics. Only 40 units were available in the UK, each priced at £111,000.
These vehicles highlight Alfa Romeo’s dedication to merging performance, aesthetics, and innovation throughout its illustrious legacy.
